I don't bite! If you want to add me, go ahead and leave a comment. I'll generally add back, as long as we have an interest or two in common. Just be warned: I ramble on about slash and squeeful things possibly more than is healthy.
Pic-spams and general things will mostly remain public.

So, at first, I kinda had shippy George/Noah feelings about Suburgatory because a) reflex, and b) the adorable vaguely married couple vibe they had over dinner in the pilot.

But the goddamn show is actively encouraging me now. And there is no fic! Come on, internet!

It's been a month or so since the last update here, amazing. To be fair, working full time has kind of ruined my ability to be online quite so often. However, amazingly, I still don't hate my job, and I've been there about three months, and am kinda friendly with most people, and it's still very strange to be leaving the house five days a week, but I'm dealing with it.

The cat had her first major illness since she was a kitten, and that was horrible and upsetting, but she's pulled through fine. She's very clingy right now, but she had to endure cat flu and teeth surgery and being poked and prodded very frequently by the (brave, so brave) vets, so I'm just pleased to bits she doesn't hate me.

Donnie is going to be two years old on the 7th November. My little bub, all grown up.

And, finally, I have jumped onto the bandwagon and simply adore Firefly. I saw Serenity a couple of times at the movies purely to see David Krumholtz and thought it was awesome, but now, yeah, I've actually seen the series. Several times. Am majorly in love with Wash and with Alan Tudyk. He's fantastic. Really. Can he come to an Australian con some time soon, because a Wash hug would probably be the most amazing thing ever.

I have to get up at 4am tomorrow. FOUR. And the fleas are back, and Donnie has cut himself scratching so I can't give him flea treatment but he won't stop scratching until I give him the flea treatment. \o/ Off to the vet as soon as I get paid.

Went along to the Good News World taping on the weekend, and much fun was had. On the way to the studio, we walked past a little petting zoo with cows and BABY GOATS, and I was convinced that I shouldn't try to steal one and smuggle it in to the show with me. Then the taping itself was of course hilarious (also, reeeally fantastic news - apparently GNW will be back next year. They said GNWorld is a 12-episode special series thingamee, which seems like it will be fun - costumes!) I'm kind of very in love with Sammy J and Randy lately. Yes, so, that was awesome, and then we had to purchase $10 worth of food on the way out to validate parking, so we had crepes. Om nom.

Just sat through the 7PM Project for, like, thirty seconds of Paul and Mikey. But it was an adorable thirty seconds. What is personal space? Paul's jumper looked so warm. Also, snuggling. And humping. D'aww boys.

Oh, and all the Avengers set pics. Cast, y'all are being very good to me. So much adorable. SO MUCH CHRIS EVANS AND ROBERT DOWNEY JR BEING ADORABLE IN THE SAME PICTURE.

Which movie sequel do you like better than the first, and why?

The Lost World.

That said, Jurassic Park is one of my most beloved childhood memories. It's just that so is The Lost World. I was maybe six or seven when my parents finally let me watch Jurassic Park, only after making me watch the Making Of first, and I absolutely loved it, obviously, because dinosaurs. Mum and Dad got very, very, very sick of rewatching it, along with The Lion King.

When The Lost World came out in cinemas, I was around 9, and Dad agreed to take me to see it on the proviso that I read the book first. And that was when Emma first encountered the F word. By that age, I was absolutely mad about dinosaurs, and knew everything* about them, and had a huge little-girl-crush on Ian Malcolm/Jeff Goldblum. So a (movie) sequel where Malcolm and his awesome kid and his awesome girlfriend go to a dinosaur infested island with awesome companions was pretty much a dream come true. I know the general concensus appears to be that the sequel is kinda shit, but screw that, I love it to bits. There are raptors living in the junkyard and hunting in the long grass! And there's a baby T-rex! And mildly-morally-ambiguous-but-not-really heroes who spend the entire movie being adorable and becoming a sort of big family unit of adorable.

The third movie though. Oh my God. I can't even. I have so many feelings, and so few of them are happy ones.

*May not have actually literally known everything. In fact, learning that Velociraptors are actually quite small and covered in feathers was a bit of a devastating moment.

Yeah, so, [info]obli_ttw got me hooked on Community. It was a slow process.

First, many months ago, he made me watch some of the outtakes, and I was not at all impressed. In fact, my thoughts were fairly negative in general. Then we watched one of the early episodes, which I did find vaguely amusing, but was largely meh about. And I don't actually know how it got to the 'hey, let's watch MORE Community' point, but then Jeff Winger was comparing the group to hungry kitties, and the dam burst, and now it's ridiculous how in love with the show I have become.

I've currently got about... er... I guess 6 - 10 episodes left before I'm fully caught up. Thus far I am actively in love with Jeff/Britta. I do not actually tend to enjoy het pairings (some may have noticed) but oh my, apparently this one is okay with me. Also Troy and Abed, oh lord, and also it is my belief that, watching Joel, Danny and Donald in the outtakes, they're all like wrestle-y, playful puppies with each other, and, love.

It has made the lack of GNW somewhat easier to deal with. But please come back, GNW, I do miss you a lot. I hear at least Top Gear is due back soon, huzzah! And there's The Looney Tunes Show, or The Bugs & Daffy Show, which I'm finding adorable and hilarious and shippy.

In the meantime, I really need just one of the jobs I've applied for to give me a call back, as I'm officially out of money. And
